Common questions about detox at Tru Dallas
What happens on the first call?
An admissions specialist asks what has been going on and answers your questions. It usually takes 10 to 15 minutes. There is no cost to call, no obligation, and nothing you say commits you to anything.
How does the insurance check work?
The benefits check is free and carries no obligation. We accept most PPO insurance plans. We contact your insurer directly, then explain which levels of care your plan covers, including detox and residential treatment, and what you would likely pay. A verification of benefits is not a guarantee of payment or coverage.
Will my employer find out?
Your treatment information is protected by HIPAA and by 42 CFR Part 2, the federal rule for substance use disorder records. We do not contact your employer. If you are on someone else's plan, the insurer may send them an explanation of benefits, so mention it on the call.
How long does detox take?
For most people, about 7 days. It depends on the substance and your health; the medical team decides.
Can I call for someone I love?
Yes. Parents and spouses often call before their loved one has agreed to go. We can talk you through the options and how to approach the conversation. An adult has to consent to their own treatment, and we cannot share anything about their care without their written permission.
What if I have Medicaid, Medicare or no insurance?
Tru Dallas does not accept Medicaid or Medicare. Call us anyway at (866) 971-7393: we can talk through self-pay arrangements and point you toward state-funded and low-cost programs in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
